The Armenian Church was built in 1763.Вірменську церкву було споруджено в 1763 році.
One of the sources of funding for the construction was the Jewish community, which was required to pay 1,000 zlotys every year. Construction of the church lasted 15 years.
A shortage of funds was felt even after the temple was completed — until 1800 the building stood without external plaster.
The church was built in the Baroque style. The murals were executed by the well-known Polish artist Jan Solecki. His compositions “Akathist to the Mother of God” and “The Ascension” have survived to this day. The sculptures in the church were created by a pupil of Johann Georg Pinsel — Matviy (Mateusz) Poleyovsky.
Due to the emigration of Armenians to Hungary, there was a shortage of parishioners. In 1811–1826 the church was closed.
In 1868 the Armenian church burned down (the “Marmulyadova Fire”). In 1870 a reconstruction was carried out that somewhat altered the appearance of the building.
During the First World War the church was quite badly damaged — the ceiling was pierced and the façade was battered. Restoration work continued from 1919 to 1930.
Under Soviet rule a Museum of Religion and Atheism was opened in the building. In front of the church-museum stood a model of a rocket module manufactured at the local locomotive-repair plant.
Since 1990 the building has belonged to the Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church.
